Nam Viet to make capital contribution to real estate company

HCMC – Nam Viet Corporation (ANV), which trades its shares on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange, is set to contribute VND81 billion to Nam Viet Real Estate Company.

ANV has appointed Doan Chi Thien, son of Doan Toi, vice chairman and general director of the corporation, as a representative to make the capital contribution, the local media reported.

The real estate firm, headquartered in Long Xuyen City in An Giang Province, has total charter capital of VND81 billion.

Up to date, ANV has had seven wholly-owned subsidiaries.

On March 9, Nam Viet Corporation announced that it had picked Nguyen Thanh Liem as deputy general director of the corporation.

As for share transaction, Tran Minh Canh, Nam Viet deputy general director, has registered to divest all of his 20,000 ANV shares from March 11 to April 9.

In addition, Doan Hai Phuong, a member of the corporation’s board of directors, registered to sell all of her ANV shares at 50,100 in early March, with the transaction conducted between March 7 and April 3.

Closing the session today, March 10, ANV shot up to its daily upper limit, reporting a matching volume of over 1.3 million.

With 296 winners and 164 losers on the southern bourse, the VN-Index advanced 5.34 points, or 0.36%, against the session earlier, at 1,479.08, extending its gain for the second straight day.

Some 650 million shares worth VND21.2 trillion changed hands, down 30% in both volume and value from the session earlier. Block deals contributed VND789 billion to the total value.

The large-cap group was the best performer on the southern market. Steelmaker HPG was the most actively traded stock, with over 26.8 million shares changing hands.

The Hanoi Stock Exchange turned positive with 149 stocks gaining ground and 89 others losing steam. The HNX-Index improved 3.04 points, or 0.68%, against the previous session, at 447.64.
