HCMC – The south-central province of Ninh Thuan has set a target to welcome 2.7 million tourists, including 20,000 from abroad, this year.
Nguyen Long Bien, vice chairman of the provincial government, issued a decision on the plan on March 9 to implement tourism promotion programs and fulfill this target, the local media reported.
The province also looks to book VND1.9 trillion from tourism revenue this year.
To fulfill these targets, the province will promote connection between travel firms, tourism service providers, passenger transport firms and the management boards of destination sites to produce unique and new tourism products and launch various programs to attract visitors.
The province will cooperate with the south-central region, the Central Highlands region, HCMC and Hanoi to develop tours and popularize tourism products.
The province will organize a seminar discussing solutions to improve the quality of tourism services and attract visitors this month, the 2023 Grape and Wine Festival in June and many other sports and tourism activities.
The plan is aimed at boosting the south-central coastal province’s tourism and introducing its people, landscapes and culture to tourists.
