HCMC – The 409th patient, a 37-year-old Filipino education expert, has made a full recovery from Covid-19, Dr Vo Thanh Dung, director of the Phu Quoc Healthcare Center in Kien Giang Province, announced today, August 11.
The woman tested negative for the coronavirus four times and the healthcare center is conducting all the procedures necessary for the patient to be discharged, VietnamPlus news site reported, citing Dr Dung.
She will continue to be monitored by medical workers and self-quarantine at home in line with prevailing regulations after being released from the center.
On July 19, she entered Vietnam from South Korea through Phu Quoc International Airport and was sent to a quarantine center in the island district. After that, her test results came back positive. She has been the only Covid-19 case reported in the Mekong Delta province.
Kien Giang Province is keeping 165 people in quarantine facilities, with 41 of them returning from the Danang coronavirus hotspot, while 331 others have been advised to remain under home quarantine.
