HCMC – More than 200 companies from Vietnam and abroad are expected to join the third Vietnam ASEAN International Furniture & Handicraft Export Fair (VIFA ASEAN 2025) in HCMC from August 26 to 29.

The event is being organized at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC) by the HCMC branch of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI HCMC) and Lien Minh Wood Handicrafts Corporation to position HCMC as a leading regional hub for furniture and home décor trade.

The exhibition will feature businesses from 13 countries and territories, showcasing a wide range of indoor and outdoor furniture, handicrafts, interior décor, architecture and design solutions, machinery, raw materials, and supporting services.

A business matching program will run both on-site and online, alongside seminars on global furniture production and consumption trends. Key topics include export markets and global policies, as well as green standards and new products.

Tran Ngoc Liem, director of VCCI HCMC, said Vietnam’s wood industry faces risks from its heavy reliance on a single major export market like the United States. Diversifying into other markets such as Japan, China, and the EU is essential for sustainable growth, he added.

Despite global economic headwinds, VIFA ASEAN 2025 is expected to help the Vietnamese wood and furniture sector maintain recovery momentum and reinforce its position in the global export market.
