Over 24 million PDR shares change hands

HCMC – Nguyen Van Dat, chairman of Phat Dat Real Estate Development Corporation, has sold 24 million PDR shares to Phat Dat Holdings.

After the transaction, which was successfully made on February 8, Dat’s ownership at PDR fell to 51.48%, equivalent to nearly 254 million shares, while Phat Dat Holdings’ ownership increased from 20 million shares (4.06%) to 44 million shares (8.93%).

Phat Dat’s revenue reached VND3,620 billion last year, falling 7.4% against 2020. Thanks to cost reduction, the corporation’s profit however soared 52.4% year-on-year to more than VND1,860 billion.

As of late 2021, Phat Dat’s total asset reached nearly VND20,552 billion, rising 31.6% from the beginning of the year.

Meanwhile, the corporation’s equity surged 56.8% to some VND8,144.5 billion.

PDR, which is listed on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange (HoSE), rose over 2% to close at VND90,800 today, February 9, with 4.11 million shares transacted.

In related news, the VN-Index of HoSE rose 0.29%, or 4.39 points, to close at 1,505.38 points today.

Winning stocks outnumbered losing ones by 291 to 161. Some 794.7 million shares worth over VND25.2 trillion changed hands on the southern market, soaring 37.5% in volume and 39.8% in value compared with the previous session.

Approximately 40.5 million shares worth nearly VND1.59 trillion were traded in block deals.

On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index rose 1.51%, or 6.3 points, to end at 424.19 points, with 141 winning stocks and 92 losing ones. Some 67.9 million shares worth VND1.96 trillion were transacted on the northern market.
