HCMC – Refrigeration Electrical Engineering Corporation (HOSE: REE) has been allowed to use 7,091.6 hectares of sea area in Vinh Long Province to conduct a survey for the Nam Bo 3 offshore wind farm project.
According to Decision No. 4741/QD-BNNMT issued by the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, REE will use the designated sea area in Dong Hai Commune to perform measurement, investigation, and geological–hydrographic surveys in preparation for the project’s development.
The area is bounded by four corner coordinates, with a permitted depth of up to 117 meters and height of 40 meters above sea level. The duration of the allocation is 36 months from the date of the decision, during which the company is exempt from sea-use fees.
The survey aims to assess the site’s potential and technical feasibility for developing a large-scale offshore wind power project in southern Vietnam. The collected data will serve as a scientific foundation for project planning, permitting, and design stages.
Closing today’s session, REE rose 1,300 points, or 2.02%, to VND65,800, with 459,100 shares changing hands, valuing the company at around VND35.6 trillion.
The VN-Index edged down 0.42 point, or 0.03%, to 1,631.44 points, with 163 gainers and 138 decliners. Market liquidity totaled 673.6 million shares worth VND21.17 trillion, down 11% in volume and 4.4% in value from the previous session.
Large-cap stocks staged a mixed performance, with DGC hitting the ceiling and VNM advancing 3.3% to VND61,800 per share. Meanwhile, STB lost 3.8%, VRE dropped 2.6%, and TPB fell 2%.
In the mid- and small-cap segments, PVD hit the ceiling at VND26,150, with strong domestic and foreign demand and over 31 million shares traded.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index increased 1.5 points, or 0.57%, to 266.29 points, with 69 gainers and 64 decliners. Trading volume totaled 90.3 million shares valued at VND2.14 trillion.
