Road accident leaves four dead on National Highway 20

HCMC – A sleeper bus collided with a 16-passenger van on National Highway 20 in Dong Nai Province in the early hours of today, September 30, leaving four dead and five others injured, the local media reported.

The fatal incident occurred in Dinh Quan District, Dong Nai at around 2:30 a.m.

Thanh Buoi sleeper bus with license plate 50F-004.83 was traveling on National Highway 20 from Dong Nai to Lam Dong when it smashed into the passenger van with license plate 86B-015.75, which was traveling in the opposite direction.

The impact of the collision was severe, causing the sleeper bus to push the passenger van onto the left shoulder of the road. Both vehicles sustained significant damage.

The accident left four dead at the scene, while five others were rushed to hospital for medical attention.

As of 8 a.m. today, Dong Nai General Hospital reported that they are providing emergency medical care to four accident victims, with one of them in critical condition.

The driver of the Thanh Buoi sleeper bus has been detained for investigation. Local authorities are determining the cause of this devastating accident.
