HCMC – “Symphony of the Sea” is set to make its official comeback on November 1 after an impressive rehearsal on October 26 that lit up Sunset Town on Phu Quoc Island with fireworks, lighting effects, and extreme water sports performances.
The rehearsal, which featured around 60% of the full production, drew enthusiastic reactions from both spectators and the directing crew gathered at Sun Bavaria GastroPub. The show combined music, laser lights, and water fireworks in a vivid display across the sea and sky of the island.
Launched by Sun Group in 2024 in collaboration with H2O Events and Laservision, Symphony of the Sea returns for its second season with major upgrades in technology, scale, and artistic performance. The 20-minute show features 21 world-class athletes performing jetski, jetsurf, and flyboard stunts in LED-illuminated costumes designed by Bao Rong, a design house known for international event collaborations, including projects with acclaimed director Zhang Yimou.

Season 2 brings back renowned athletes such as Kristina Isaeva, the world’s No.1 Flyboard Queen; Lee Sak Yoon, champion of the UAE Flyboard Competition; and James Curtis, UK Jetski Freestyle Champion. New faces include Anton Popov, three-time Hydroflight Masters World Champion, and Geoff Hulet, Canada’s reigning national flyboard champion.
The show’s visual design is led by Laservision, the creative team behind world-record productions such as Imagine in Dubai and Wonder Full in Singapore. Director Shannon Brooks personally oversees this year’s concept, which integrates cutting-edge sound, lighting, and laser systems with more than 750 fireworks and multiple synchronized water and aerial effects.
Performances are set to iconic musical scores, with Vietnamese cultural elements subtly woven into the international presentation. One notable scene features a traditional kite gliding among fireworks, accompanied by the soft flute melody of Me Yeu Con.
Symphony of the Sea will run nightly at 7:50 p.m. at Sunset Bay, with tickets priced at VND600,000 per person. Guests can watch from Sun Bavaria GastroPub, a two-story seaside venue offering panoramic views, dining, and locally brewed craft beer.
