HCMC – Nearly 100 firms are participating in the “Honoring Vietnamese goods in 2021” fair, which was kicked off in HCMC on December 20, introducing outstanding products and services, including beverages, food, rubber, plastics, information technology, medicines and property.

The event, which was held by the HCMC Union of Business Associations (HUBA), is set to wrap up today, December 21.

Featuring 100 booths, the fair is aimed at popularizing and honoring 86 prominent manufactured products, 29 services and eight real estate products, and promoting local brands.

Nguyen Phuoc Hung, vice chairman of HUBA, said that apart from honoring excellent products and services, the event was also aimed at encouraging firms to build and develop their brands, contributing to the city’s economic growth.

Besides, the event acts as a convergent point for firms to introduce their products and sound out cooperation opportunities, Hung said.

Director of the HCMC Department of Industry and Trade Bui Ta Hoang Vu said that firms’ efforts in maintaining goods production chains during the lockdown period and preventing the spread of the Covid pandemic had helped ensure the supply of food and goods to residents.

After the lockdown, the enterprise community has been actively restoring their production and business activities to adapt to the new normal period, leading to a significant increase in export revenue in HCMC this year.
