HCMC – The Ministry of Construction has identified 232 projects across 34 provinces and cities that are ready to be launched or inaugurated in the lead-up to the 14th National Party Congress, with total investment exceeding VND1.1 quadrillion.
The ministry reported the figures during a working session with Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha on December 1, reported the Government news website (baochinhphu.vn).
Of the projects, 149 are slated for groundbreaking, while 83 have been completed and are set to be put into use. The proposals were submitted by ministries, local governments, state corporations, and major economic groups.
The Ministry of Construction has recommended establishing 79 broadcast points for live and online coverage at major or strategically significant construction sites. Among these, 34 locations are expected to host senior leaders from the Party, State, National Assembly, Government, and Vietnam Fatherland Front.
At the meeting, Deputy PM Ha asked ministries and localities to review the list and select projects that hold clear strategic value and demonstrate tangible socio-economic impact. Preparations must be concise and focused, avoiding unnecessary expansion or scattered efforts.
The initiative coincides with the review of five years of national strategic programs, covering infrastructure, the economy, education, healthcare, and national defense. It forms part of activities marking the 14th National Party Congress.
The deputy PM also requested the Ministry of Construction to finalize a comprehensive report summarizing achievements, challenges addressed, and lessons learned for the next development phase. Selecting representative projects as central broadcast points will help highlight the contributions of ministries and provinces in driving national progress.
All preparations for groundbreaking and inauguration ceremonies must be completed before December 19. The 14th National Party Congress is scheduled to take place from January 19 to 25, 2026.
