HCMC – Vietnam saw more than 15.8 million international visitors in the first 11 months of 2024, a 41% increase compared to the same period last year, according to the General Statistics Office.
In November alone, the country welcomed 1.71 million international arrivals, a 39% year-on-year rise. Revenue from accommodation and dining services during the 11-month period was estimated at VND669 trillion, up by 13% from 2023.
Among localities, Khanh Hoa led hospitality revenue growth with a 17% increase, followed by Haiphong City with 13.2% and Can Tho City with 12.6%. Hanoi and HCMC reported respective gains of 10.7% and 9.4%.
Tourism revenue from travel services reached VND57.5 trillion, a 17.3% year-on-year expansion. Can Tho recorded the highest growth at 31.2%, followed by HCMC with 17.7% and Khanh Hoa with 16.6%.
The Vietnam National Authority of Tourism looks to attract 18 million international visitors and 110 million domestic tourists by the end of 2024, underscoring the sector’s continued recovery and expansion.
