HCMC – Work has commenced on the Hoa Binh-Moc Chau Expressway as a key road connecting the northwest region to the northern economic hub once completed.
On September 29, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the expressway’s section in Hoa Binh Province.
The PM urged relevant ministries, departments, and localities to complete necessary procedures and allocate funding for the full implementation of the Hoa Binh-Moc Chau-Son La Expressway as per the approved planning. He also told Son La Province to expedite investment procedures to begin construction on the project next year.
The Hoa Binh-Moc Chau Expressway section in Hoa Binh Province stretches 34 kilometers, with an investment of nearly VND10 trillion. The project starts at Da Bac Town in Hoa Binh Province and ends at Chieng Yen Commune, Van Ho District, Son La Province. The total land clearance area for the project is nearly 355 hectares, and it is expected to be completed by 2028.
