HCMC – Domestic fuel prices have dropped for the third consecutive time, with reductions ranging from VND280 to VND410 per liter, according to a joint announcement by the ministries of Finance and Industry-Trade today, September 5.

RON 95-III gasoline is down by VND280 to VND20,820 per liter, while E5 RON 92 bio-fuel is priced at VND19,970 per liter, falling by VND360.

Diesel was cut by VND380 to VND18,090 per liter, and kerosene by VND340 to VND18,720 per liter. Heavy fuel oil now costs VND15,150 per kilogram, down by VND410.

In this price adjustment, the ministries continued to refrain from imposing any surcharge on all types of fuel, contributing to the stabilization of the fuel price fund.

This marks the 46th instance since October 2023 that the operator has not utilized the fuel price stabilization fund. As of the end of 2023, the fund had a surplus of over VND6.66 trillion, according to data from the Ministry of Finance.
