HCMC – Accor further expands its portfolio in Southeast Asia through a partnership with Meyland to run the new hotel Grand Mercure Phu Quoc, which will provide convention facilities and services for accommodation and big events.
Situated some 11km from Phu Quoc International Airport, Grand Mercure Phu Quoc has 200 rooms, three restaurants, a swimming pool, a gym center, and a spa service. The property will join Accor’s eight properties in Phu Quoc, affirming the group’s position as the leading hotel operator on the island.
“We are delighted to expand our presence in Phu Quoc with the launch of a Grand Mercure resort. Our cooperation with Meyland represents a promising future for Vietnam with major corporations foreseeing continued growth of the hospitality sector and choosing to expand their operations to include hospitality,” said Garth Simmons, chief executive officer of Accor Southeast Asia, Japan, and South Korea.
Accor is Vietnam’s leading international hotel operator, with 40 hotels currently operating and 50 additional projects in the pipeline.
