HCMC – AEON Vietnam has inaugurated its first super supermarket (SSM) at the Crescent Mall shopping center in District 7, HCMC.
The opening of AEON Nguyen Van Linh in HCMC on April 3, following similar launches in Hanoi in 2022 and Binh Duong in 2023, reflects AEON’s major plan to diversify its retailing models in Vietnam.
Covering 5,000 square meters, AEON Nguyen Van Linh comprises two sections: shopping and catering service. Notably, the store introduces the Reward Kitchen model, offering delicacies typically served at restaurants to customers.
Vietnam is one of AEON’s pivotal markets alongside Japan, with plans for increased investments in the country.
Furusawa Yasuyuki, general director of AEON Vietnam, emphasized the corporation’s commitment to “opening more shopping venues in different models and scales,” with these venues set to be “located in shopping centers of various partners, not limited to AEON malls”.
