HCMC – Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Dang Hoang An has been picked as chairman of the Council of Members of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN).
The appointment decision was signed on July 19 by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh.
An, 58, had been serving as Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade since May 2018.
He held various positions within the electricity sector, including deputy director of the National Load Dispatch Center, head of EVN’s Technical Power Network Department, deputy general director of EVN, and general director of EVN.
The position of EVN’s chairman became vacant after the retirement of Duong Quang Thanh on May 1.
