HCMC – The Ministry of Transport has requested Project Management Board 6 and the investors of the Dien Chau-Bai Vot Expressway to finalize the remaining 15 kilometers to ensure the entire 49-kilometer route will be opened to traffic by June 30.
A 30-kilometer section of the expressway from Dien Chau to National Highway 46B was inaugurated on April 29. The final 19 kilometers, stretching from National Highway 46B to the Bai Vot interchange, is nearing completion, following delays due to ground conditions.
To meet the June 30 completion date, the Ministry of Transport is urging the acceleration of work on fencing, signage, lighting, and collector roads for the Dien Chau to National Highway 46B section.
The Dien Chau-Bai Vot Expressway, a component of the Eastern North-South Expressway for the 2017-2020 period, is invested through a public-private partnership (PPP).
Connecting Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces, the expressway has a total investment cost of around VND11,157 billion, with VND5,090 billion coming from private investors and over VND 6,067 billion from the State budget.
