HCMC – Visitors have spent more than VND134 trillion in Hanoi City in 2025, as the city has posted record tourist arrivals, according to the city’s Department of Tourism.
The capital city has welcomed an estimated 33.7 million visitors during the year, including more than 7.8 million international arrivals, according to the department’s report released on December 25. All key indicators rose by over 20% compared to 2024.
The report showed an increase in overnight stays compared with the previous year. Average hotel occupancy has reached about 65%.
Hanoi has more than 3,700 lodging facilities with around 71,200 rooms. Among them are 28 five-star hotels and serviced apartment complexes.
In 2025, Hanoi received several international tourism awards and rankings from global travel publications, the department said, citing recognitions for city tourism and cultural destinations.
For 2026, the northern metropolis aims to attract more than 35.8 million visitors, including 8.6 million international arrivals. Tourism revenue is projected to exceed VND160 trillion, the report said.
