HCMC – Truc Bach Ward in Ba Dinh District, Hanoi, has launched an online medical station, the first of its kind in the capital city, to provide residents with useful medical information related to Covid-19 prevention and control.

Locals can access the services via the Facebook fanpage, “Online Medical Station – Truc Bach Ward”, and the hotline 039 885 6892. The online medical station comprises officials of the ward and its health station and volunteer doctors and nurses.

It will provide locals with online physical and mental exercises, instructions on care for Covid patients and anti-pandemic measures. Residents can also ask for information and support in terms of medication, necessities and other requirements.

This online medical station model is expected to help ease the strain on local health stations amid the spike in new infections in the capital city, provide better care for Covid patients and give local residents easier access to Covid-related information.

Hanoi is currently the biggest Covid hotspot in the country, with around 3,000 new daily cases. Yesterday, the city reported 2,983 new cases.

Dong Da District reported the most infections, at 191 cases, followed by Hoang Mai with 186, Thanh Tri with 156, Hai Ba Trung with 135, Dong Anh with 123 and Thanh Xuan with 116.

As of the end of January 16, the city had reported over 91,000 Covid infections in the fourth wave of the pandemic, which began in late April.
