HCMC – The People’s Committee of HCMC has been tasked with overseeing a VND362-billion bridge project connecting it to neighboring Dong Nai Province
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha approved the Ministry of Finance’s proposal, authorizing the city to oversee the project. HCMC is required to coordinate with the People’s Committee of Dong Nai Province and implement the project in line with state regulations, reported the Government news website (baochinhphu.vn).
The bridge will cross the Be River with a 150-meter main span. It will include a 1.2-kilometer approach road on the HCMC side and a 100-meter section on the Dong Nai side. The route starts near the former Hieu Liem ferry terminal in Binh Duong and ends in Dong Nai.
Construction will be split into two phases. Each phase will build one 14-meter-wide carriageway, with a two-meter separation between them. Each carriageway will have two traffic lanes.
