HCMC – The government of Dong Nai Province has called for faster site clearance and completion of legal procedures to ensure that construction on three industrial parks near Long Thanh International Airport can commence on August 19.
Vo Tan Duc, chairman of the Dong Nai People’s Committee, said at a recent meeting with provincial departments and investors that three major industrial parks, covering more than 2,200 hectares near Long Thanh International Airport, are scheduled to break ground on August 19.
The three projects include Long Duc 3, Bau Can-Tan Hiep, and Xuan Que-Song Nhan.
Long Duc 3 covers over 244 hectares with a total infrastructure investment of around VND1.6 trillion. The other two parks each span 1,000 hectares, with infrastructure investment for each estimated at VND9 trillion.
The industrial parks are expected to increase the supply of industrial land, meeting the leasing demand of both domestic and foreign investors thanks to their proximity to Long Thanh International Airport.
According to the project investor, they are currently working with local authorities and the provincial land development center to conduct land surveys, valuations, and compensation plans.
While the implementation of the three projects is largely on schedule, there are still some challenges related to site clearance and determining land prices.
The investor also proposed that the province accelerate the upgrade of Provincial Road 770B, the main route connecting the Bau Can-Tan Hiep and Xuan Que-Song Nhan industrial parks, to ensure synchronized transport infrastructure when the parks are put into operation.
In recent years, Dong Nai has continuously received approval for a series of large-scale industrial parks, such as Xuan Que-Song Nhan Industrial Park (phase 1) and Phuoc Binh 2 Industrial Park.
The province currently has 31 operational industrial parks and one project in the land acquisition and infrastructure construction phase. To date, more than 6,000 hectares have been leased to investors.
