HCMC – Vu Thi Chan Phuong, vice chair of the State Securities Commission (SSC), has been picked as new chair of the SSC.
The appointment decision was announced yesterday, January 9, by Finance Minister Ho Duc Phoc.
Phuong, a 51-year-old native of Nam Dinh Province, had served as vice chair of the SSC since July 2016. Earlier, she was chief inspector at the SSC and has been with the SSC there since 1998.
Deputy Minister of Finance Nguyen Duc Chi has been in charge of the SSC since May 2022 due to the removal of Tran Van Dung, who was held responsible for stock market manipulation by some individuals and organizations.
