HCMC – The northern province of Hung Yen province has issued a decision to establish the Vietnam – South Korea economic cooperation industrial park called the Clean Industrial Park.

The project is being jointly developed by LH Group of South Korea, TDH Ecoland Company of Vietnam and some Korean investors.

The Vietnam – South Korea economic cooperation industrial park will cover 140 hectares inside the Ly Thuong Kiet Industrial Park and Urban Service Complex.

With an investment of over VND1.78 trillion (US$77 million), the project aims to develop clean industrial park infrastructure, helping turn Hung Yen into a modern and green industrial province.

It is part of an economic cooperation project promoted by the South Korean Government in the housing, real estate and industrial sectors in Vietnam via its New Southern Policy.

Vice chairman of Hung Yen Province Dang Ngoc Quynh said the province would create favorable conditions for the investors to accelerate the project so that the first Korean-style clean industrial park in Vietnam will be put into operation soon.

“The Vietnam – South Korea economic cooperation industrial park will be a symbol of the economic ties between the two countries, which will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations next year,” he said.
