The Youth Union offered 165 gift sets including milk, cakes, hand sanitizers and face masks to children undergoing treatment at the hospital’s Oncology-Hematology Department. Moreover, five special gift sets were given to children at the Emergency Department, with each of them receiving VND500,000 in cash and a gift voucher worth VND500,000.

The head nurse of the Hematology-Oncology Department, identified as Hang, said that the department is treating 170 children diagnosed with blood cancer or malignant tumors. The department expressed its gratitude to the Youth Union for visiting the children and offering them meaningful gifts.

The Youth Union also gave books, comics and coloring books to the hospital’s Nice Handwriting Club.

Founded three years ago, the club has created opportunities for child patients in learning and playing activities, helping them practice soft skills and encouraging them to stay positive and overcome diseases, said Le Thi Mai, president of the club.

Mai added that the Youth Union has supported the club over the past few years in sharing difficulties and providing children with essential stationery items.
