HCMC – Digiworld Corporation, which trades its DGW shares on the Hochiminh Stock Exchange, recorded VND162.4 billion in after-tax profit in the first half of 2023, plunging by 53% over the same period last year.

The company generated around VND8.55 trillion in net revenue during the six-month period, a 28% decrease versus the year-ago period.

Digiworld explained that the sharp declines in revenue and profit were attributable to the poor key business operations.

Notably, the sales of laptop and tablet products reached only VND2.4 trillion between January and June, down 28% year-on-year, due to the weakened consumer demand amid tough economic conditions.

With the poor performance in the first half of 2023, Digiworld has achieved only 43% of the year’s revenue target and 41% of the profit target.

Closing the trading session today, August 28, DGW edged up by 3.45% over the previous session to VND56,900 per share, with over 3.18 million shares transacted.
