HCMC – Domestic fuel retail prices have been revised up, according to an announcement jointly issued by the ministries of Industry-Trade and Finance today, September 4.
The price of E5 RON92 bio-fuel rose by VND80 to VND19,851 per liter, while RON95-III gasoline edged up VND76 to VND20,439 per liter.
Diesel oil edged up by VND116 to VND18,473 per liter, kerosene increased by VND89 to VND18,314 per liter, and heavy fuel oil jumped by VND1,116 to VND15,376 per kilogram.
According to a draft circular on the roadmap for bio-fuel blending, the Ministry of Industry and Trade has proposed that from 2026, all gasoline sold for vehicles nationwide might be switched to E10.
From 2030 onwards, all gasoline would be switched to E15 or another bio-blend ratio as regulated by the ministry.
The drafting agency said bio-fuel adoption would not only help cut emissions and align with the green transition trend but also revive bio-fuel production facilities, make use of cassava and corn farming areas, and generate jobs for workers in midland and mountainous regions.
