HCMC – Power Generation Joint Stock Corporation 3 (HOSE: PGV) reported electricity output of 2.37 billion kWh in January 2026, up 16.29% year-on-year and equivalent to 7.45% of its annual plan, with power production revenue reaching VND3.27 trillion, up more than 9.5% over the same period last year.
The parent company contributed 2.03 billion kWh, rising 14.27% year-on-year. Its power plants operated safely and met dispatch requirements amid higher electricity demand.
Among subsidiaries, the Phu My Thermal Power Center recorded a 64.72% increase in output year-on-year. Mong Duong Thermal Power Plant expanded output by 14.6%, Vinh Tan Solar Power Plant by 25.2%, while Buon Kuop Hydropower Plant maintained stable production.
For February 2026, the corporation targets electricity output of 2.449 billion kWh, including 2.24 billion kWh from the parent company and 205 million kWh from joint stock subsidiaries. The company is preparing plans to ensure power supply during the Lunar New Year holiday.
It is also implementing maintenance contracts for Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant and accelerating investment procedures and cooperation for new power projects, including hydropower expansion, solar power, LNG-to-power and flexible power projects.
Closing the trading session today, February 26, PGV shares gained 300 points, or 1.16%, to close at VND26,150, with 106,200 shares changing hands, bringing the company’s market capitalization to VND29.4 trillion.
The VN-Index added 18.73 points, or 1.01%, to close at 1,879.64 points, while the VN30-Index gained 20.18 points, or 0.98%, to 2,069.82 points.
Despite decliners outnumbering gainers by 181 to 136, the market extended its rally. Within the VN30 basket, 16 stocks advanced and 10 fell.
Large-cap VIC led the uptrend, soaring 6.9% and contributing nearly 19 points to the VN-Index. Several other blue chips such as GEE, BSR and FPT also supported the market.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index slipped 0.34% to 262.33 points, with total trading value exceeding VND1.3 trillion.
