HCMC – After its first promotional program ended on May 31, the Saigontourist Group is now offering customers in the country’s North, Central and South regions discounts of up to 50% on accommodation, tours, food, entertainment services and training courses from now until September 30.
Besides responding to the program “Vietnamese travel in Vietnam” initiated by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the promotional program is aimed at marking the 45th anniversary of the establishment of the group, Pham Huy Binh, chairman of Saigontourist Group, said in a statement.
“The second discount program in 2020 is expected to contribute to helping the domestic tourism industry recover,” Binh stated.
Discounts at five-star hotels in HCMC
Three heritage hotels in HCMC—Continental Saigon, Majestic Saigon and Grand Saigon—and a five-star hotel Caravelle are participating in the program.
Room rates for a one-night stay in a Colonial Deluxe room at Majestic are discounted to VND2.499 million, inclusive of a combo lunch for two and a free one-way airport transfer, while Caravelle is offering a special room rate of VND1.2 million for three guests within six hours and free access to the swimming pool and gym.
The prices of rooms at Continental start from VND1.4 million, dropping by 30%, while guests staying at Grand will be entitled to a 10% discount on the room rates.
Many other hotels in HCMC under the Saigontourist Group are also offering special discounts. The five-star Rex Hotel has cut its Premium room rate from over VND2.937 million to VND1.88 million. Room rates at Kim Do, De Nhat and Dong Khanh hotels have also been reduced by 44%, 20% and 30%, respectively.
Special offers on accommodation in other regions
The Saigon-Phu Quoc Resort in the Mekong Delta province of Kien Giang offers a discount of up to 45% on room rates, while those at the Saigon-Mui Ne in Binh Thuan Province have been revised down by 10%-20%.
Other hotels and resorts of the Saigontourist joining the promotional program include Saigon-Ninh Chu in Ninh Thuan Province, Yasaka Saigon Nha Trang in Khanh Hoa Province, Saigon-Phu Yen in Phu Yen Province, Saigon-Ban Me in Daklak Province, Saigon-Dalat in Lam Dong Province, Saigon-Dong Ha in Quang Tri Province and Saigon-Quang Binh in Quang Binh Province.
Guests staying at the Saigontourane Hotel in Danang City will be entitled to a 44% discount on single room rates, while room rates at the Saigon-Morin Hotel in Hue will be reduced by up to 30%, depending on the type of room. Saigon-Kim Lien Resort in Nghe An Province is also offering special room rates from VND600,000 per night.
In the northern region, the Saigon-Halong Hotel in Quang Ninh Province is offering discounts of up to 46% on room rates. A night at the Majestic-Mong Cai Hotel in the province will cost only VND800,000 from the previous VND1.6 million.
Saigon-Phu Tho Hotel is offering discounts of 60%-67% on room rates when guests book 10 rooms or more. Meanwhile, guests at the Saigon-Ban Gioc and Saigon-Ba Be hotels will get discounts of 20%-35%.
Discounts on domestic tours
Saigontourist Travel Service Company, an affiliate of the Saigontourist Group, has introduced various tours at special prices, with a four-day tour of Hanoi-Ninh Binh-Trang An-Bat Trang Ceramic Village-Halong Bay priced at VND4.7 million, inclusive of air tickets for flights departing from HCMC.
A five-day full-package tour to Danang-Hoi An-Ba Na Hills-Paradise Cave-Hue costs VND5.9 million, while a three-day Phu Quoc-Bai Sao tour is priced at VND3.6 million.
Other discounted tours comprise the three-day Con Dao Island tour priced at VND6.5 million, the four-day Dalat tour at VND3.179 million and the four-day Nha Trang-Hon Soi-Lang Yen Mai Sinh tour at VND5.679 million.
Apart from package tours, Saigontourist Travel has launched free and easy tours, with a four-day tour at a five-star resort in Hoi An costing from VND6.952 million. The free and easy tour of a five-star resort in Nha Trang starts from VND4.149 million for three days and the three-day tour to Quy Nhon is priced from VND2.75 million.
Discounts on food, entertainment services and training courses
The Binh Quoi Tourist Village under the management of the Saigontourist is offering a Can Gio prawn hotpot for six to guests willing to stay three nights or longer at the Binh Quoi 2 Tourist Area and the Can Gio Tourist Area. Besides this, guests can also enjoy a 30%-60% discount on the a la carte menu.
Groups of 10 tourists are entitled to a 25% discount of VND465,000 per person at the Vam Sat Ecological tourist site in Can Gio District.
Those who register for training courses at the Saigontourist Hospitality College will enjoy a 10% discount on the tuition fee or a 15% discount for a group of five.
