VFF, Coca-Cola and FIFA team up to bring FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 Trophy to Vietnam, igniting pride of Vietnamese sports

The FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023TM Trophy Tour is coming to Vietnam on March 4, 2023, courtesy of Coca-Cola in partnership with the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) and the Fédération international de football association (FIFA) at Vietnam Youth Football Training Centre (Hanoi). The event inspires national and young football players of Vietnam to witness the prestigious trophy and cheer on the Women’s national football team ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2023TM final.

The FIFA Women’s World CupTM Trophy Tour officially started on February 25, 2023 in Japan. From there, it is traveling to a series of Asian countries, with Vietnam being the fourth destination to welcome the Trophy. This is the first time Coca-Cola joins forces with the Vietnam Football Federation to organize the FIFA Women’s World Cup Trophy Tour procession.

The event marked a historic milestone when the Vietnamese Women’s Football Team qualified for the FIFA Women’s World Cup for the first time in Australia and New Zealand. The event features Mr Hoang Dao Cuong – Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism – and representatives of the Vietnam Sports Administration, the Vietnam Football Federation, the ambassadors of Australia, New Zealand and the Netherlands; the coaches of the National Women’s Team, former players and 30 young players who are currently practicing at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Centre, alongside the presence of about 300 guests and media agencies joining to spread out the event.

Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi, General Secretary of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), said: “It is very proud that the Vietnamese Women’s Football Team made it to the finals of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023. We are also honoured that Vietnam is a destination of the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023 Trophy Tour. The Trophy procession event is a recognition of the achievements of Vietnamese Women’s Football and affirms the position of the country’s sports in the international arena. The Vietnam Football Federation would like to express our gratitude to Coca-Cola for co-organizing this event.”

This is to celebrate their abilities to go beyond all expectations, becoming an inspiration for other women and girls, especially the young women’s team in the U15 – U19 age groups, to follow suit and be prepared to pursue the FIFA Women’s World CupTM dream of Vietnamese football.
