HCMC – Halong Bay has been reopened to tourists today, September 13, after the government of Halong City has spent nearly a week addressing the aftermath of typhoon Yagi.

The city announced that the bay is welcoming visitors back after six days of recovery efforts. Tourists can now visit several popular routes and sites, including Route 1 (Thien Cung-Dau Go tourist site), Route 2 (Sung Sot Cave, Luon Cave, Ti Top Island), and Route 5, with the exception of the Ba Hang area.

Overnight lodging facilities that are ready to welcome guests include Hon 587, Lat House, Luon Cave, and the high-speed boat transit point at Hon Cat Lan.

Typhoon Yagi caused extensive damage to many tourist attractions in Halong Bay, sinking dozens of tourist boats and destroying hundreds of restaurants and hotels. This has resulted in losses amounting to hundreds of billions of dong.
